The concept of transmedia is similar to that of the more commonly used term, multimedia, but with one key difference. Multimedia tells a story in multiple different ways, such as an article with a video that narrates the same story with visuals added. Transmedia aims to split a story into multiple parts/narratives and display each part of the story through its own medium.
